We
are back to volatile trading conditions again.
This is a welcome relief as the last year had
been a hard one. Systems on USA indices and energies
have been particularly profitable, while the
Dax has trended poorly. I am intending to update
the web site a bit more. There are numerous good
systems that have been trading for some time,
that I just haven't had time to upload to the
web-site. Overall profitability since mid April
had been superb.

February 6 2010 Newsletter.
The
gladiator series has been launched and now out
of sample for a few months. Performance has been
very pleasing.
Its
a first for one Trademaid to be able to trade
most USA indices, Dax, bonds, and four energy
markets.
Markets
also seem to be back to trending better across
most systems, with the Dax being the best.
We
now support execution at Zenfire / Dorman and
interactive Brokers for 100k + accounts only.
Dorman
accounts can be any size. In the next year we
MIGHT add open ecry accounts if there is demand.
There
are also a number of new systems added in the
last six months, but I haven't had time to publish
them in the web site.
Most
of these are due to success with the Computer
Aided System Builder. I hope to have a video
of this in the next few weeks.

Larger
accounts have been doing very well. See 100k+ Numerous
execution methods / Brokers are now supported.
There
are also numerous other systems that are not
published, but included in 100k+ & institutional
accounts. Enquire for more details.

November 08 Newsletter.
This
has been a most amazing period of market volatility
and decline. October 2008 S&P 500 lows took out
11 years of gain back to 1997 levels.
The
never before seen increase in volatility has
had significant implications for trading systems.
In short the DaxTf loved it. Midway through the
month the profit target was removed, the break-even
stop removed giving win's greater than 10,0000
euro in a single trade. This was done on an opt
in basis, so please enquire if you want to trade
this version. Platinum Eurex and Eurex TF also
had nice results. The Russell systems were almost
not active. Turbo Trader did not trade for an
entire month. (First time ever) and other systems
gave mild profits to mild wins. A new system
the loves volatility called Dream 07 ES was also
launched. This was good timing for me, as my
test account trading Dream 07 ER made about
$7000 in two days.
I
am recommending to move to the Eurex products
and Dream 07 ES until volatility reduces. Most
of the ER2 systems will not trade a lot in the
current environment. If the volatility filters
are removed, performance was poor. The entry
level systems for small accounts would be EurexTF
and Dream 07 ES. The DaxTf system needs a lot
of cash. ie $25,000 or more.

HOW DID THE OLD FILTER GO?
ANOTHER FILTER WITH HUGH IMPLICATIONS.
After most systems struggled in late 2007, a new filter was applied
to nearly all systems.
After 6.5 months, we ask how did it go?
Results of filter applied from august 12 2007
The
bottom line is Turbo Ultimate er returned a total
of 0.58 cents per trade without the filter, and $86.11 with
the filter!
see tables below
TURBO ULTIMATE WITH AUGUST 07 FILTER
TURBO ULTIMATE WITHOUT AUGUST 07 FILTER
February 2008 highly prone to fail filter.
As of very late February, there is another filter to be applied
system wide. In short the filer identifies conditions that are
highly prone to fail, and stops the systems from entering.
The
results vary from significant to dramatic on
all systems shown.
ie Turbo Ultimate ER profit per trade increased $19.29 since
2/2002 and a hugh $55.55 in the last 12 months.
This
has very significant implications. For example
my concern for some time with Turbo Ultimate
er is that profit per trade
is just too low to overcome clients higher brokerage
costs, and high slippage compared to my own tradestation
account.
An extra $20 to $50 completely changes this.
The
table is not complete simply because it takes
me a long time to compile it fully, and it does
give just a brief snap shot of
the filters effect.
Note
also that not all systems are released to the public. i.e. I
personally normally trade the mid cap versions of my systems,
but don't always release them to the public. (the
profit and liquidly
is lower)

Turbo
Trader Pro has been introduced. Its is recommend that Turbo
Trader Clients
move to Turbo Pro.
This
is a minor upgrade to Turbo Trader. Most Logic is
unchanged. The differences
are as follows. Addition of a more intelligent profit
lock / stop and removal of one other type of stop.We
look for a subminiature
pattern before entry.Exit time shifted by a few minutes.
Removal of 1 of the 3 trading modules in the old
turbo trader. This accounts for about 14% reduction in trades and
increased profit per trade. The difference is about
an extra $20 r/t
per trade in
the last 12 months.
